Summary: The Employment Specialist will assess individuals on career options and assist and train individuals on paid on-site contract work as well as off-site employment opportunities.
Schedule: Monday-Friday 8am-4pm (40 hours)
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: * Coordinate with Employment Manager regarding Individual Service Plans.
- Implements an individualized program, based on each person’s needs in accordance with their Individual Service Plan.
- Maintain data on designated objectives per the Individual Service Plan.
- Administer, tabulate and interpret work related assessments to determine each person’s career choices.
- Participate in job site tours.
- Assist in evaluating each individual’s job performance semi-annually.
- Assist with upkeep and maintenance of the program, follow cleaning schedule, report any maintenance issues.
- Maintain all appropriate certifications including FA/CPR and PABC.
- Other duties as assigned.
Required Education/Experience: * One year of experience working with individuals with disabilities.
- Experience with contract work, and off site employment helpful.
Required Skills/Knowledge: * Knowledge and understanding of principles of normalization, behavior management and human rights
- Valid driver’s license and one year of driving experience.
- Basic computer skills.
Physical Demands: * While performing the duties of this job, employee is frequently required to climb stairs.
- Must be able to lift up to 20 pounds.
- The employee must be able to drive a vehicle.
- Must have a normal range of eyesight with or without corrective lenses.
- Must have a normal range of hearing with or without corrective equipment.

Expected salary: $18.75 – 19.35 per hour
