Located in Edmonton, AB
Salary: $27/hour
We are seeking a Shop Technician for a confidential west Edmonton client specializing in oilfield services. There is an opportunity for this role to extend long-term and potentially become permanent with the client.
**Responsibilities:**
- Maintain specialized oilfield equipment for specialized field work
- Shipping and receiving of machinery and goods
– Use forklift and/or crane for handling heavy equipment
- Keep accurate inventory of machinery and repair parts
– Periodic audits required
- Complete service reports
– Weekly or as needed
- Perform special projects as assigned by Operations Manager or Divisional Controller
**Qualifications & Experience:**
- Grade 12 diploma required
- Valid Class 5 Driver’s License with clean driver’s abstract (Required)
- Valid Forklift Certificate (Preferred)
- Valid Overhead Crane Certificate (Preferred)
**Preferred Skills:**
- Mechanically inclined
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Ability to complete assigned tasks without supervision
- Punctuality and good attendance highly valued
- Experience with shipping/receiving oilfield equipment
- Basic computer skills
- Forklift and crane operation
- Inventory management
**Hours/Compensation:**
- Hours: Monday to Friday — Flexibility required
- Compensation: $25.00 to $30.00 based on experience
– Some overtime possibility as well
