Responsibilities
- Manufacturing of performance barrier materials for the construction industry
- Machine operation of packaging equipment, production lines, extrusion lines and winding machines
- Follow manufacturing and processing procedures, set machine or equipment controls, carry out production and inspection processes
- Feeding Resin materials into machinery
- Operation of auxiliary equipment (e.g., heating/cooling units, grinders)
- Changing tapes manually, fabric master rolls with cranes
- Lift truck and overhead crane operation
- Assisting Production Supervisors as Jr Team Leaders. Organizing reports, assisting with scheduling, troubleshooting machinery, helping with orientation of new employees
Skills for Success
- 2-4 years of machine operation experience, preferably in plastic and packaging industries
- Extrusion machine operation, lift truck and overhead crane experience
- Prior Leadership and Supervision experience (1-2 years)
- Strong communication skills, data entry capabilities, and following verbal instructions.
- Mechanical Aptitude and interest in new robotic machinery
- Enjoy being cross-trained on a variety of machines, tools, and processes
Schedule And Wages
- Shift work in a 24h/7d production environment
- Rotating 12-hour shifts (continental shifts) with shift times 7am–7pm and 7pm–7am (alternating 36h and 48h weeks).
- Shifts are two weeks 7am-7pm shifts, two weeks 7pm-7am shifts.
- Day shift $25/hr and night shift $25.75/hr
