Shift: 7:00am-4:00pm Monday to Thursday & 7:00am-11:00am Friday or 3:45pm-1:45am Monday to Thursday

We are assisting our client in Kitchener to find a CNC Machine Operator. Our client manufactures steel products!
CNC Machine Operator Responsibilities:
- Safely operate CNC Mill or Lathe by manually loading and unloading parts.
- Complete and document required quality checks and inspections.
- Polish and wash any parts during cycle.
- Inspect cutting tools for sharpness and usability and alert CNC Set-Up Operator / Supervisor if tool wear is evident.
- Using basic knowledge of precision measuring instruments, measure machined parts by comparing them to First Offs.
- Clean and upkeep CNC machines and surrounding work area.
- Ensure continuity between shifts through clear and complete documentation of actions, irregularities, and continuing needs.
- Follow quality management system policy and procedures as per ISO 9001:2015.
- Maintain work area clean and organized and follow health & safety rules.
CNC Machine Operator Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years’ experience as a CNC Machine Operator.
- Perform required functions without sacrificing production standards, quality, or safety.
- Comfortable lifting up to 50lbs.
- Basic knowledge of use of precision measuring tools (micrometer/vernier).
- Comfortable troubleshooting and problem solving effectively and efficiently.
- Comfortable dealing with conflict, stress, and time constraints in an efficient, professional, and courteous manner.
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills
- Capacity of sitting, standing, and walking for extended periods of time.
