Salary: $18/hr
We are seeking a reliable Maintenance Team Member to perform general maintenance and repairs at a park in Vancouver. The successful candidate will have a passion for facilities management and have experience with basic repairs and grounds keeping.
Responsibilities:
- Perform minor repairs on windows, doors, desks, tables, plugs, equipment, appliances, sinks, toilets, etc. around the park.
- Conduct routine fire safety checks.
- Assist with preparations for special events and activities including clean up afterwards.
- Grounds maintenance including leaf blowing, power washing, sweeping, etc.
- Prepare and paint interior and exterior surfaces.
- Light plumbing duties.
- Support with snow removal in winter months.
Requirements:
- At least 1 year of experience in building maintenance, guest services, general labour or other related experience.
- First Aid Level 1 or higher is an asset.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work effectively with team members.
- Flexibility with schedule and able to work a variety shifts including evenings, weekends and holidays as needed.
- Ability to work in a variety of weather conditions including heat, rain and winter conditions.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and comfortable with climbing ladders.
Details:
- Shifts Monday-Friday 8:00am-4:30pm with potential for overtime as needed.
- Pay rate: $18/hr
