Elementary Teaching Positions
2023/2024 School Year
Summary: The Teacher, under the direction of the Principal/Education Director, will primarily be responsible for developing, planning and implementing curriculum, lessons plans, and educational programming for students. They will be required to create and use assessment practices to inform their instruction and evaluate student learning. The teacher will have strong classroom management skills, and take a trauma-informed approach in their daily teaching practices. They will have an understanding of universal design for learning, and create lessons and activities that engage students of all abilities in their classroom.
Qualifications:
– Ontario College of Teachers (OCT) Certification
– Qualifications in the Primary/Junior and/or Intermediate Divisions
– Special Education Additional Qualifications would be an asset.
– An understanding of First Nations culture and history
– A understanding of trauma-informed approaches to teaching
Salary: As per the Lac Seul Education Salary Grid (Based on Years Experience and
QECO Rating (Ranges from $60,113 – $105,884)
Term: Contract position
Hours: 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday
Location: Lac Seul, ON
