Our client, a reputable construction company located in the East End of Ottawa, is currently looking to hire Four (4) General Labourers to join their team. This is a year-round position!
This position in physically demanding.

Required skills and qualifications:
- Must have G licence and a vehicle to get to and from work (some work sites are not easily bus accessible)
- Lift up to 50lbs
- Previous labour experience (e.g. Construction, Landscaping, Manufacturing, etc.) is preferred
- Comfortable working in all weather conditions
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Ability to follow instructions
- Steel-toed work boots
- Ability to read a tape measure
- Eager to learn to skills and grow with a company
Duties may include, but are not limited to:
- Review work orders and prepare tools
- Pack up the van and drive to site(s)
- Prepare the site
- Take pictures before and after completion to ensure all work is documented
- Using a shovel to dig trenches / holes in the ground – Lifting up to 50lbs
- Remove debris and wheelbarrow to desired location
- Measure depth and distance to ensure conformity
- Laying down pipes and telecommunication cables
- May be trained on how use various equipment and power tools
- Cleaning work sites and ensuring it is safe at all times
- Other duties as assigned
The starting wage for this position ranges from $21.00 – $24.00 per hour, depending on experience. The ideal candidates are individuals who are motivated to work, reliable, flexible (hours) and punctual.
Hours: Monday to Friday – 7:00am to 5:00pm – Overtime after 44 hours per week
