Located in Ottawa, ON
Salary: $20.00 – $21.00 / hour
Our client, located in the East End of Ottawa, is currently looking for a responsible and experienced Forklift Operator to join their team on a contract basis. The ideal candidate is familiar with operating a propane or diesel forklift and has a positive attitude. This contract would extend until end of September with the possibility of extension into October.
Required skills and qualifications:
- Safety Conscious
- Minimum 2 years’ experience operating a forklift
- Ability to work independently / in a team
- Must be able and willing to learn
- Capable of lifting up to 50lbs
- Must be willing to work both indoors and outdoors
Assets:
- Own vehicle
- Bilingualism (French and English)
- Previous construction experience
Duties may include, but are not limited to:
- Lift up to 50lbs
- Operate a propane counterbalance forklift to move products and pallets of merchandise throughout the warehouse and yard (95% of the work is outdoors)
- Load and unload trucks using a forklift
- Pick orders
- Serve customers
- Maintain a clean warehouse and yard, free of safety hazards
- Help maintain accurate inventory on hand
- Conduct pre-trip inspection on forklift before use
- Other duties as assigned
The wage for this position ranges from $20.00 – $21.00 / hour. The ideal candidate is someone who is a team player, motivated, and reliable.
Monday to Friday – 7:00am to 4:30pm
