Position Summary: JUMP Math Program Assistants work under the direction of an Instructional Designer to convert existing Power Point digital math lessons into Lumio platform slides to create fully online and interactive lessons for use by educators and students in schools, tutoring organizations, and homes. Lumio is an online (cloud based) platform that requires stable internet connection to use. All digital lesson slides will be created online (via Lumio) and require no downloaded computer programs to operate.
No prior knowledge of the Lumio platform or digital lesson creation is required. Proper training and tools for the job will be provided to ensure you are able to complete the job requirements. You will follow the direct instructions of an Instructional Designer who will provide the math lesson outlines, design guidelines, and on-going job support.
This is a full-time contract role, fully remote, for 20 weeks at a salary of $750 per week. A stable internet connection is required to perform this work. The position begins on May 1, 2023, or as soon after as a qualified candidate is identified.
This position is generously funded by the Youth Breaking Barriers to Employment Program and Employment and Social Development Canada.
Key Accountabilities:
Upload existing digital math lessons into the Lumio platform
Arrange the content according to a provided JUMP Math design template
Convert static questions into interactive exercises within Lumio

This is a position for:
a. An Indigenous youth (ages 15 to 30 years old) resident in Ontario; or
b. A youth (ages 15-30 years old) resident in a remote community in Ontario (defined as a community with population of 1,000 or less and with no, or very little access to the services of the closest municipality with a population of 1,000 or more).
c. Candidates must be Canadian citizens, Permanent Residents or have Refugee Status
d. Candidates must be out of school for 6 months or more (some exceptions may apply).

Education and Experience (minimums):
